Uterine fibroids are solid non-cancerous growths that develop in the uterus or the reproductive system of a woman. They may end up interfering with the healthy lifestyle of a woman. Research that was previously conducted has shown that 20 to 50 percent of women have been diagnosed with this condition. The cause of the condition is yet to be established. Doctors are still looking into it because they have not been able to determine the cause. They have however proven that hormones like estrogen make the situation worse by making the lumps mature rapidly. Women who are experiencing menopause or are obese are more likely to be affected.

Acute Pelvic Pains

As the tumors continue to grow, the women may begin to notice some pressure in their pelvis and abdomen. It may be severe or mild, but it will still make them uncomfortable. In some instances, the uterus may enlarge. That might cause discomfort and a sharp pain that will make it difficult for them to bend or even lie down. Exercising will also become difficult.
